The five tests have helped me to better understand how I make decisions, to inform me of my interests and styles of learning, and lastly to help me interpret my own personality. The first of these five tests is the Decision Making Style Test (DMS).
On the five decision making styles I have a score within the average range of those tested. This means that I use a variety and/or combination of all the styles in making my decisions. However, I had the highest score in the Intuitive, Dependent, and Rational Styles respectively making these three styles the ones I use most in making my choices. Of the five these are the three I feel are best to rely on and that will help me make the right and most beneficial decisions.
The second test is the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) which helps to explain how we like to look at things and how we like to make our decisions. My reported type is ISFP or Introversion-Sensing-Feeling-Perceiving. Introversion means I like to focus on the "inner" world of impressions and ideas. In this area I had a moderate score meaning that I consistently prefer introversion over extraversion. Sensing refers to the way I tend to focus on concrete information in the present. I also had a moderate score in this area which refers to my tendency to choose sensing over intuition. Feeling has to do with the way I make decisions based on my own personal values and on "subjective evaluation of person centered concerns". I scored high enough in this area to get a clear score which means that almost all the time I lean towards Feeling over Thinking when making my decisions. Perceiving refers to the way I approach life in a flexible and spontaneous manner while keeping my options open. I also scored in the clear range meaning I prefer Perceiving to Judging when approaching life. My reported type as a whole (ISFP) describes me as "quiet, friendly, and accepting. Enjoys the present moment and what's going on around them. Likes...
