Don Quixote
This adventure filled film based on the 17th century novel written by Miguel de Cervantes, is centered on a man by the name of Alonso Quijano. His urge to travel and become a shining knight directs him to ride his somewhat sturdy farm horse, along side with his companion, to defeat his hallucinated horrors that surround Spain.
Alonso Quijano was a adventurous man living among an estate in La Mancha. Living with a few of his family members and a housekeeper, Quijano spent his free time reading many novels and stories about victorious and noble knights. He admired the chivalry. Because of his liking, he started planning a trip of his own to show his ability. All he needed was someone to accompany him, 2 horses, and a women to fight his battles for.
A women. A women with beauty and reverence. That’s exactly what Quijano wanted before leaving for his trip. He wanted someone to fight victorious toward, someone to win his battles for. And after winning, he wanted his opponents to bow down and give their respect toward her. While wondering the streets of La Mancha in preparation, his eyes were caught on his idea of a perfect girl. Her name was Dulcinea. He thought she was wonderful. After talking to her, she did not agree to traveling with him, but he would still fight for her.
He was now off, on the foreign planes of Spain. He was accompanied by his friend Sancho Panza, only by the means of thinking he was being paid. With the admired stories of majestic knights on the back of his mind, he was ready for any troubles that lye ahead.
While riding their horses, Quijano came across their first battle. What looked like over sized ogres, were really large water wills. But with his obscure imagery, he rode toward his “competition.” He drew out his sword while riding with courage.
