The Terrorist Watch is a strongly biased and objective point of view on the government, the intelligence community, the media, and the seemingly catastrophic effect mass media has on society. The book depicts aspects and events of the government and Intelligence Community related to, caused by, and following the terrorist attack on the United States that took place on September 11th, 2001, describing ways in which the structure of the Intelligence Community has been reformed because of the terrorist attack. It also offers insight into the minds and daily activities of many employees of the FBI, CIA, and various other organizations that deal with national security, offering a generalized view of what is entailed in the day-to-day life of those government officials and how the structuring of the Intelligence Community changed those details and responsibilities along the way. The reader is presented with stories and firsthand views from important members of the Intelligence Community, as well as detailed history of many events that had a strong affect on the shaping and reshaping of the way the government and intelligence organizations operate together. The goal of many of these recollections is to provide an explanatory, albeit biased, understanding of how the Intelligence Community works.
