INTRODUCTION
Road movies what are they and why are they important to the people in America as well as the world at large? Road movies had been around for a very long time. These type of movies were created in the early 40’s and 50’s. Tim Dirk whom created the website, www.filmsite.org/road films html, (The Greatest Films), 1996, stated that Road films have been an affix of American films from the very start and have ranged in genres from “westerns, comedies, gangster crime films, drams and action-adventure.” There are quite a few things that road movies have in common with each other, such as, a search on the open road or unexposed path or a sporadic voyage, which seek an escape or to connect in a mission for some kind of goal. The first Road movie was created for film in 1930, which is called “Hell Angels.” Road movies remained popular in the 1930’s and throughout years to come, even up until this very day. One of the most powerful road movies of today’s society is a road movie called “CRASH.”
Crash is an American “drama” film, which was created in the year of 2004 and directed by Paul Haggis. The movie “Crash” scenery takes place in Los Angeles. It’s focus on the subject of divergence among people who belongs to a variety of ethnic groups and nationalities. In other words, it is about racism and prejudice amongst the difference cultural in America. This particular movie revolves around law and crime. The main characters in this movie, is a district attorney and his wife, which is placed by, Brendan Fraser and Sandra Bullock, and a television director and his wife, placed by, Terrence Howard and Thandie Newton. Why are these roles the most significant and important pieces of this movie is because they set the pace for the other characters and their actions in this movie. The district attorney and his wife’s vehicle (SUV), was stolen. Two young men, who were actually criminal, stole the district attorney and his wife’s vehicle....
