For the subject of Dance I have chosen to look at the website of the New York City Ballet at http://www.nycballet.com/nycballet/homepage.asp?4455. Ballet is a very formal or classical style of dance. Ballet has been around for a very long time and truly is an art form in the way the body moves through time and space. Ballet is considered art under definition 1 because it is something that is learned through repetition and experience.
For the subject of Visual Art I direct your attention to the website of St. John the Forerunner Greek Orthodox Church at http://www.stjohngoc.org. My wife is the webmaster and the person that designed this website from nothing. She put together the lines, the palette and the design of the website. Definition 4(3) shows us that the website is considered graphic art because the webmaster had to use imagination and skill to build the website.
