In today's
world deviance is everywhere.Where did it come from ? I want to know what is deviance and what reasons adoes it exist .So in this paper I will discover these answers. Deviance is any behavior that does not conform to the prevailing norms of a society.Deviance is the recognized violation of cultural norms .Deviance is measured by sociteis reaction , its is measured by societies life style ,only behavior that is defined unacceptable in a culture is deviant. Deviance violates some groups assumptions about reality. deviance violates social order. It violates expectations. Deviance is a label used to maintain the power, control, and position of a powerful individual or group.
Certain groups deviate from social norms because of both their raising and social pressures at the time while others conform for the exact same reason.Deviant people are subject to social control, or how members of a society try to influence each other's behavior. A more formal and multifaceted system of social control.
The Social Foundations of Deviance in my point of view are conformity and deviance are molded by society. first they exists only in relation to cultural norms, second people become deviant as others define them that way, and finally both norms and the way people define situations involve social power.
New knowledge in the field of genetics has focused on the study of biological causes of deviance. The connection between a specific pattern of chromosomes has been shown to be related to deviant behavior. Overall, research findings suggest genetic and social influences are significannot
