Development Of A Area Processing Center

Abstract
The U.S. Army is in the process of deploying Area Processing Centers (APC) for the centralization and management of network services. This is the proposal for the implementation of an APC pilot site. This pilot site will be the model for roll-out of other APC’s for the U.S. Army. The Quality Control (QC) process to be used for the architectural development of the Area Processing Centers (APC) will follow the Department of Defense Architectural Framework (DoDAF) guidelines. The APC is one of the systems as the focus for the development of Architectural views as an organizational unit in the U.S. Army enterprise. The task objectives of this paper will be to offer a proposal for the roll-out to improve functionality for the US Army. The Net centric working environment initiative of the Department of Defense (DOD) and of the US Army dictates the centralized management and control of network services. This pilot model will improve the network services and overall functionality offered to stakeholders.
