Descriptive writing – English

Dubai has the tallest buildings and the largest malls, in the night the sparkly skies make me exited like a small child that has sweets, it is the city that never sleeps.

At night the moment that the fireworks will bursts in the clear black sky, the people were on every Spot on the ground they were like the sun’s rays in summer. Suddenly I can see lime green rockets zooming it to a pitch black sky, amongst the twinkling white stars. Everyone looked incredibly amazed. What I can hear was a gigantic bang as the firework explodes. The thundering explosion noise echoed through the darkness around me. The smell of burning ash invaded my poor unfortunate nostrils. The display was a dance of colors Reveling merrily They gaze down at me Shooting across the sky Illuminating the night I've been set free Rippling across the ocean of the dark Like a water drop hitting the surface of the sea Generating waves, causing tremors Firework beauty it was the best display yet !

After the firework display finished everyone was leaving and the place was still crowded the unimaginable thing happens I lost my brother we were walking between the crowd and BOOM!! He disappears!!! I had no words to say I was simply speechless and I had no emotions what I could see some new faces and that the place is getting hotter and that the place is getting darker and I get shaking and I don’t know what to do ! I looked everywhere but I couldn’t find from the crowd, I informed the security guy to help me find my brother.

I started to dream of a happier and safer time when we were at home safe and happy together chilling on the couch and telling jokes and watching TV with my brother so I freaked out when the dream went and it came again like the beach when comes to the shore and goes in again I felt lost that moment I stood in my place maybe for a whole minute or so, people calling me and I don’t answer because I wasn’t actually hearing them I was deeply thinking if I don’t find my brother how can I go home ? What to tell my mother about him being lost? And In that exact minute I felt I was going to die! Bad thoughts came in my mind I tried to catch them and throw them I away but I left them pass by me and me feeling really sorry, bad, tired and really scared if my brother was kidnapped I looked around me and I didn't see him, I went inside the mall I saw a police officer I told him that my brother is lost and I can’t find him and in seconds I could hear the sound of a women talking in the microphone saying ‘’Khalid wearing a white shirt and a tanned trousers with a backpack on his back is lost his age is 2 years he was outside by the firework display if you find him bring him to the office or call this number as quickly as possible thank you ‘’.

Minutes later I got a missed call from a number isn't familiar to me , then I called back to check who was it , it was a guy telling me that found my brother he told me meet me beside this restaurant and you could take your little boy, I was absolutely exited and no words can describe my feelings I had happiness tears on my face I was really happy to see my brother that I thought my self won’t see him ever again but I was terribly wrong about it I saw him and I’m truly happy and blessed to have brothers as these brothers.

Fireworks lit up the sky like the neon glow of the Northern lights. The sounds and colours exploding from them were phenomenal. A colossal rocket pierced the night sky as it crackled and popped skyward to its doom. Catherine wheels spun like banshees trying to escape the clutches of its captor, finally slowing to an undramatic end. Sprays of crimson lava spewed from the fountain firework like a mini volcanic eruption. Everyone seemed to stop and watch in wonder as the blood red haze from the traffic light entranced them, the spell finally broken when a wave of aluminous green light gave them the signal to move along.…

It’s a mild September afternoon and here I am with my hair pulled up, wearing a white tank top, black shorts and my favorite hiking shoes, enjoying nature at its best. I’m on a trail that I’ve never hiked before, however I have yet to be disappointed by the views. As I look towards the sun, the few clouds I see floating in the sky are being nudged along by a lazy breeze that is just strong enough to cause my bangs to lightly dance across my forehead. To my left I see a flock birds flying through the air in a v-formation, wings waiving in unison, intuitively flying south for the winter.…

God has given all human beings a precious and priceless gift that is LIFE. He is such a marvelous, perfect savior that he has blessed women with the privilege of conceiving life. Three years ago, I had the privilege of feeling inside of me a tiny seed that needed to be watered with a lot of love and patience in order to become a beautiful and perfect fruit. This seed flourished in eight months and my eyes could finally see that perfect creation that is my son Mathias Nicolas. He is my most precious God’s gift who came to my life to fill it with joy and love. However, I am here in Manhattan alone remembering my little baby and missing him a lot every day because distance is a great obstacle that impedes us to be together again. Most of the times, when I close my eyes, his face comes to my mind; and I immediately take out of my purse a picture of him that helps me remember every little detail of his facial features. This picture was taken at home in Cuenca, Ecuador when he just turned two years old; it shows clearly what his face looks like.…
