A)1. Explain(with clear and detailed references from the text, Defence of Socrates) the way in which Socrates discursive method (or method of the dialectic) is displayed in his cross-examination of Meletus regarding the first recent charge brought against him by his accusers.
2.Then, explain if and how Socrates cross-examination and arguments succeeded in undermining or failed to undermine the credibility of the first charge brought against him by his recent accusers. Don't forget to explain what that first charge is.

Basically tell what Meletus was being charged for and how he took part of it in court. Secondly tell how he succeed or failed to convince the jury on his first charge.

B) 1. Explain(with clear and detailed references from the text) the way in which Socrates method of the dialectic is displayed in his cross-examination of Meletus regarding the second and third recent charges brought against him.
2. Then, explain if and how Socrates cross-examination and arguments succeeded in recent accusers. Don't forget to explain the two charges are.

Basically tell what socrates was trying to get at in meletus second and third chargers. Then tell if his method worked and explain what the two chargers are.

C) Explain and compare(with clear and detailed references from Defence of Socrates and from Du Bois " Galileo Galilei" ) the way in which Socrates and Galileo conducted themselves in the face of opposition or adversity. Show how similar and/or different their respective responses to opposition are. Indicate what the strengths and weaknesses or limitations of the conduct of each one of these two thinkers are in the way they responded to opposition in their respective pursuit of truth.
