Abstract
To reach beyond our imaginations and assure the continued growth of Johnson & Johnson well into the 21st century, we have made a vigorous commitment to create an environment in which innovation flourishes throughout our companies around the world (Johnson and Johnson, 2008). This year, Johnson and Johnson will turn its focus to Kava, an island in the South Pacific and Solid Organization (SO) a subsidiary of Global Pharmaceutical Supply Group (GPSG).

Disasters have hit Kava and left the country in a state of national emergency. Local businesses are discouraged due the expensive recovery efforts and loss in profits. The government has solicited SO’s help along with the backing of GPSG to be the light at the end of the tunnel. Solid Organization’s founder Chris Morales stands behind these efforts and believes the organization must draw upon the strength of the JJ Credo for the guidance to rebuild, and enhance SO’s competitive advantage. Johnson and Johnson is the example needed the force of hope, and guidance back to paradise.

Alex and Nik representing Solid Organization called a 5-day meeting, with the local and government Subject Matter Experts (SME) to discuss unifying the recovery and restoration efforts on Kava. Alex led the meeting stressing that every day the island’s deficiency of control, the absence of an anticipation planning process, the reactive versus proactive maintenance strategy; lack of any metrics or standards of measurement; and poor communication plan continues to place Kava in a high-risk category. The purpose of this week is to take the future of Kava back under control through a combined effort to reduce the impact and time it takes to recover from a disaster of little or enormous magnitude. The sponsors of this event, Johnson and Johnsons along with business and government partner’s have submitted Voice of the Customer Surveys and are in alignment with the issues.
