Immediately upon disembarking unto the island of Kava, it is apparent that there was something horrible that had happened to the island. The former island of paradise is engulfed in massive destruction. This destruction of the former paradise is the reason behind this paper. The goal of this paper is to identify the factors that are affecting the implementation of purposed plans for rebuilding and the reason why it is detrimental for Walt Disney to get involved in the economy. This paper will also evaluate the actions and resources that will be required in order to implement any proposed plans for the island. It will also evaluate any ethical implications from a stakeholder’s perspective while implementing the plans for rebuilding.
The Walt Disney Pictures has become one of the largest providers of family entertainment around the world. It can be very difficult for a company of this size to develop a position and implement a new location for their business setting. Kava has proven to hold all the valuable assets that they need to develop this new company location. For any company to enter a new market or business can be very difficult and draining to the company. But in the case of the Kava island
Kava is a large island located in the South Pacific. The majority of the population is under the age of 15 and has a wide ethnic mix. This ethnic mix consists of indigenous south pacific tribes, African, French, Oriental, Spanish, and Americans. Along with the diversity of ethnics there is a wide diversity of religions with 50% Indigenous. The remaining is closely divided between Christian, Buddhist and Islamic. The predominant language that is spoken is indigenous but English, French, and Spanish are often spoken as well. The economy is supported by petroleum, natural gas, bananas, coffee, cocoa, sugar, spices, tourism, fishing, and quality labor.
