Introduction
The island of Kava has many obstacles yet to overcome. The citizens of Kava have endured the hardship of losing loved ones and all worldly possessions due to catastrophic events. Acumed has worked with the Kava government to insure proper procedures have occurred in the recovery effort as well as provide first aid, food and shelter to all citizens in need. Acumed grieves with every citizen and is committed to rebuilding Kava for all survivors. Acumed would like to become a major shareholder in the rebuilding efforts and work with government officials on a rebuilding plan. This plan will identify specific problem areas and provide an outlet for improvement and proactive warning mechanisms against future natural disasters. Kava faces many new challenges and decisions. Acumed would like to share a greater presence in Kava through a collaborative consensus with government officials and the citizens of this beautiful island.
Phase II – Project Blue
Acumed in collaboration with Kava government has analyzed and prescribed a formulated plan for rebuilding this beautiful island and has named it Project Blue. This effort is a major undertaking and requires extensive problem identification to adequately rebuild Kava to comply with safety standards that affect the quality of life for all islanders. This plan outlines the following island issues that must be addressed to begin rebuilding and reconstruction: humanitarian aid; housing development; disaster prevention; hotel rebuilding; human resources.
Humanitarian Aid
There has been an enormous out pouring of humanitarian aid in the form of money, food, supplies and labor. People around the world have seen the devastation that occurred in Kava and what to help rebuild Kava.
