Dear Mom,
I want you to know how grateful I am for all that you have been to me and done for me. Thank you for being so amazing. You always give unconditional love, even when I didn’t want it or thought I didn’t deserve it. I’ve learned how to love others from watching you love. You have been there for me in the happiest of times as well as the saddest, in the easy times and rough patches. Always comforting me whenever it is needed, and for that I have learned to care and show compassion for others.
Mom you have always been so forgiving of my faults, issues, and self-centeredness. Even when I do something that should be unforgivable, you find a way to forgive me. From you I learned forgiveness isn’t easy, but necessary from experiencing your forgiveness. It is because of you that I know how to live my life the way it should be lived, how to treat others, and how to make good decisions.
You have always provided me with everything I needed. It may not have been what everyone else had, or what I may have wanted, but you made sure I had what I needed. I want to thank you for all those groundings you ever gave me and are still giving me for the stupid lies I tell. Taking my car away for three months was definitely well deserved. The lesson was not to never lie to you; but to never do anything I would feel guilty about later. You were always teaching me that family is the most important thing in your life and to always keep them close. They will be the ones there for you in the end, no matter who you think your best friends are.
When I was young, you always taught me to say “please” and “thank you”, taught me that being disrespectful to your peers was wrong, made sure I say Mr. Or Mrs. To whomever I was speaking to.
You’re always so selfless no matter what the case is: the countless posters you’ve done for me that I was too tired to finish, or you doing the whole entire Solar System...
