It was a day like every other. The sun was sitting in the middle of the sky high above as usual. Shining as though tomorrow was not in sight. The crowd was boisterous as both genders talk about their adventurous encounters with their friends.

I was just returning to my sit after purchasing my noodles when I met her. I know neither her name nor recall ever seeing her before but the impression of her engrossed me so much I could not concentrate on consuming my meal. As I saw her talking among her peers at the table next to mine, I could not help but wished that I was among them. The grace she emits enchanted me. The topics my friends were talking could not match the sight of seeing her upholding conversations with such ease. "DingÂ…dongÂ…" went the school bell, as the students retreated back to their classes after returning their utensils. At the confusion of the crowd I lost sight of her. I could only regret as it was my fault for not introducing myself to her. However I was glad that there was still another chance in the future.

The next few days went by normally. I glanced at her from afar when given the chance; it was fulfilling to know she was happy. I wanted to share that happiness with her but I knew that she would be too shocked if I had told her about my crush on her. She does not even know my name neither does she know who I am. I was disappointed in myself, extremely disappointed at my failure to allow both our lives to intersect. I could only wait for my sleeping courage to arrive, in time I hope.

After school, rain started to pour heavily. I saw her run just pass me towards the side gates. She was going home. Even though she was drenched, the sight of her in the rain caused butterflies in my stomach. I followed her, making an excuse to myself that I was just going in the same direction as her and that it was perfectly alright, when I knew what I really wanted was to find out where she stayed.
