Preface
The matter that is visible and currently directly measurable is composed of particles that have been identified in the physicists’ “Standard Model”. However, the majority of scientists now believe that this “ordinary matter” makes up less than 5% of the universe. In fact, it makes up less than 20% of all the matter in the universe. The other more than 80% is composed of invisible matter that has been dubbed “dark matter” by scientists. Dark Plasma Theory, published in 2006 by Jay Alfred, argues that dark matter is present in the Solar System, including on Earth. Evidence shows that the Sun and the Solar System are under the gravitational influence of invisible dark matter in our galaxy. The embryonic Solar System contained dark matter. Furthermore, the dark matter particles that have been raining down on Earth every day and night for the past 4.6 billion years are captured by Earth 's

    The Dark Sucker Theory

Then December 1989 comes, and we are exposed to a theory that tests all claims, the seemingly laughable Dark Sucker Theory. The Dark Sucker Theory states that any given source of light “[doesn’t] emit light; [it] sucks dark. Thus we call these [sources] dark suckers.” This theory focuses on three main points: darkness is existent, darkness has a mass heavier than that of light, and that dark is faster than light. In all the evidence supplied by the Newsletter’s article, who could really argue such a theory? This writer can.…

Introduction: Extraterrestrial Organisms (ETs) exist throughout the universe, and have visited Earth in the past in order to study humans. There are billions of galaxies in the universe, billions of solar systems in each galaxy, and multiple planets in each solar system, yet the majority of people believe that Earth is the only inhabitable planet in the universe. Although it may seem absurd, and to some even frightening, to believe that there are other planets with life on them, recent research shows that there may indeed be life in planets other than Earth, and recent data even goes further to show that ETs even conduct research on humans and generally have 5 kinds of contact. In order to prove that the existence of ETs, researchers conduct surveys of people that have been abducted (4th kind) in order to determine the similarities between their experiences. Also recent research shows that life on Earth may have actually originated from Mars, thus showing that humans may be ETs. Despite the recent evidence, people still ask why, if ETs actually do exits, don’t they show themselves? This may be attributed to a strategy or plan of the ETs.…

This article shows that most of the scientists nowadays do their research by following thoughts or “theories” that were already register but not actually concluded or accepted by other scientist due to the lack of technology. Also I learned that dark energy, same as dark matter are something that science can detect it but not understand it very well. What I did not understand was the Sachs Wolfe effect, I read it three times but I didn’t understand it and I tried to related to the picture that the newspaper shows but I still did not got it. I think it would have been interesting if we had learned about it in class.…

Ever gaze up in the stars and wonder if anyone is looking back at you, or see something that you believe is other worldly and struggle between telling people about it because of how weird and impossible it sounds and seems? Every time some one mentions other worldly being or entity, some dismiss it as science fiction and other listen in and give their experience and admire in shock an awe. The existence of aliens has been observed by popular publications like Time, The Washington post, Forbes, and NBC News. They have covered an extensive background on the subject using statistics about people’s opinions, personal experience, and scientific facts. They have even gone far enough to include a presentation to show a visual model of expected life in the next ten to twenty years. There is a broad explanation of the possibilities of life being on other planets in these sources. They also talk about how out of all those possibilities there is bound to be one or two other forms of intelligent life. So weather you believe in aliens or not, or undecided, this article could sway your opinion.…

    Dark Matter

Mathematical theories indicate that the mass of the Milky Way disk galaxy is at least 50% unseen mass or material. The Dark halo of mass surrounding the Milky Way supports the velocity of the galaxies spin as well as keeps it in shape. The discrepancy in the spiral of galaxies is that they do not have enough mass (even at their centers) to keep the millions of solar systems withheld in its gradational field. So physicists had a problem. What was the explanation for the velocity and rotational curve in galaxies? Observations indicate halos of dark matter surround most, if not all, galaxies. This theory would make sense of the current model of physics. Dark matter originates from our efforts to explain the observed mismatch between the gravitational mass and the luminous mass of galaxies and clusters of galaxies. The gravitational mass of an object is determined by measuring the velocity and radius of the orbits of its satellites, just as we can measure the mass of the sun using the velocity and radial distance of its planets. What could be the invisible mass hiding in the galactic…

It has been made apparent to me that dark matter is more of a mystery than I had originally thought it was. I did not know that dark matter does not really have a direct definition. Trough this paper i learned about the origin of dark matter and how far back the idea occurred. Before i had a misconception that dark matter was a relatively new term, but I now understand when and how the concept was developed. I also learned about WIMPs and MACHOs which are both potential forms of dark matter. Previously I did not know that there was not a definite form of dark matter that had been discovered yet. I also was surprised by the percentage of the universe that dark matter makes up. I was unaware that normal matter made up so little of the universe and that it was insignificant compared to dark energy and…

    Dark Energy

What is the mysterious dark energy that's causing the expansion of the universe to accelerate? Is it some form of Einstein's famous cosmological constant, or is it an exotic repulsive force, dubbed "quintessence," that could make up as much as three-quarters of the cosmos? Scientists from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab) and Dartmouth College believe there is a way to find out.…
