Cultural Vaules And Person Ethics
This paper discusses Personal, Organizational and Cultural values, which help to define who we are, how we act on a personal and professional level. Each individual has a core set of personal values, when we truly believe in them; we implement them in the details of our daily lives, with the hope of gaining success or great accomplishment. We will discuss how all three of these values align with each other, but may conflict with the values of the organization, in which we work. Some of these conflicts will affect your decision making and may create an ethical dilemma. Paying attention to our values help us become more self-aware, make ethical decisions, prioritize our tasks and develop trust as an individual. Values influence our choices, but our choices also influence our values over our lifetime.
Personal values are ideals that guide our personal beliefs, interaction with others, and involvement in our professional career. They help us distinguish what is right from wrong and how to conduct our lives in a meaningful way. Personal values are principles that define who we are. For example, honesty, reliability and trust help you determine how you will face the world and how you interact or relate to people. They will be times when our values conflict with the different values of our family, friends and co-workers. Some of my personal values include caring for people and their feelings, being honest. I believe that each person is special, unique and I do not like to judge a book by its cover. I’m always interested to see what knowledge or unique perspective or insight an individual can offer. Respecting individuals is important to me, because it is how I would like to be treated. I enjoy having a family and I am very close with them, I feel that I am a loving wife and mother.
