The Crucible is about a small town during the Salem witch trials, because of their stronger belie in the puritans religion. Abigail Williams and John Proctor are one of the important characters in the crucible. Abigail and John are different in some ways, but have the same intrust in some things.


Abigail Williams is a orphaned seventeen year old girl, she lives with her power struck uncle reverend parris. Abigail has evil ways, one of them is she practice witch craft, lies for personal gain she is also deceiving. Abigail and Proctor has a history together that she wants to proceed. Some of her ways are because of her repressive society she lives in.


John Proctor is in his mid-thirties, he makes his living as a farmer, he is a very respected man in his community. John is a honest man but is haunted because of a sin in his past that involved Abigail. examples from the book is that Abigail confess her feelings for john and tells her he is not going to touch her again.


What are the differences between john and Abigail? Abigail has a deceitful personality on the other hand john has a straight forward, also John is a god fearing man however Abigail studies witch craft. they also have one thing in common is their interest in each other. their personality's and general interest shows their differences and similarities.
