Part I
All the information we learned in the Child-birthing class was thrown out the window the minute my wife went into labor. My wife was serene, like a pool of calm water, whereas I was a nervous wreck. In fact, my wife took a shower and styled her hair as though it was any other day. I stood by timing and watching her contractions come and go like waves hitting her almost to the point of knocking her down. After each contraction she'd chat away as though nothing happened. I jumped for joy when she said her first word and took her first steps. I am convinced that she is the most beautiful, intelligent, and sweetest child on the planet. She is my pride and joy and I will never forget how I felt the first moment I saw her and how she stole my heart.
