The evolution theory of Charles Darwin will continue being stronger compared to the traditional religious beliefs of creation. Among the many diverse issues in the society with intense controversy, the ongoing conflict between religious segments and the world of science is underscored. In this view, the following argumentative essay will scrutinize this debate between creationism and evolution to show how the later holds more weight and worth believing. Evolution theory has proved that the creationist beliefs, as well as their denials, tend to defy logic, reality and science. Science can be considered as an intelligent understanding of phenomena while religion is more of a blind belief. This clash between creationism and evolution has led to the debate raging debate for over a hundred years now (Carter 980). Among the differences in the two sides is that one is based and was founded on data that was proven. On the other hand, the opposing side is based on pure belief. Evolution is considered as being a science that is explained within the frameworks of science methodology. An apt example to back this up is the argument held by evolutionists that man evolved from a primitive ape. On the other side of the argument, creation science holds that an intelligent designer created the universe (Witham 76-80). The designer also created all other things that are present not just on earth, but also in the past, approximately six thousand years. The creationist has been disregarding Darwin’s scientific evidence on the basis that it is a fact that the evolution theory happens to leave gaps.
