County Living Vs. City Living

Country living is relaxing and private, compared to living in the city where it is constantly loud and anyone can show up at the doorstep. Country living and city living have many different aspects. There are many advantages and disadvantages to life in the country or to life in the city. The advantages of living in the country definitely outweigh the advantages of living in the city.

City living has many advantages, but the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. One flaw of city living is the environment. In the city there is always something going on with sirens going off or just the cars flying by on the freeway. It 's not a safe environment for kids or pets. With cars flying down the freeway, a kid or pet could get run over and get seriously injured or killed. Also the school environment for the kids has fewer opportunities because there are more kids in the city. In the city the teachers have less of a one on one relationship with the children. Furthermore in the city there is just a view of street lights and buildings. There are no stars visible in the city. The city is surrounded by buildings and lights and has no scenic views available.

Although it is easier for someone to get a job in the city because there are more opportunities out there. Some feel it is easier because transportation has more availability, but in the city if someone 's in a hurry the streets are traffic jammed and it would just make the trip to work more stressful to use public transportation. Although in the city a person could just walk to work. Who would want to walk to work every day and be tired by the time they have fought through crowds to get to work? The cost of living in the city is unaffordable on a middle class income. Apartments and houses are highly expensive. An advantage in the city is the gas prices are lower due to more people and more competition. The gas prices

There are many differences between living in the city or in a country setting, but the country setting has many more advantages over the city. The air and water quality and other environment factors are improved in the country setting. The school system is safer and less crowded in a rural setting. The roads are not loaded with traffic and taxis. The country is safer than the city and crime rates are lower. In the country, there is an abundance of trees and vegetation. In the country, there are parks and open spaces, and there is a variety of wildlife to observe. There are many job opportunities in the city that you do not see in the countryside. The job market on the countryside is smaller than in the city due to less business, plants, and factories being built in the area. People in more rural areas are more likely to work in farming and agriculture, but commuting to city jobs is always an option though commuting cost rise with the ever growing price of gasoline. When you living in suburban areas you definitely save money on gas and there are usually rails that you can…

Many families and individuals find themselves at some point questioning the advantages of city living versus country living. It is nearly impossible to find a good answer to this question. What is good for one person might not be good for another. Some people enjoy the busy, hyper active metropolitan city where they can use all amenities and have unlimited opportunities for work and leisure. At the same time, other people feel the urge to be closer to Mother Nature, relaxation, beauty, and peace. They take pleasure in living in the calm and peaceful environment of the countryside and spending their free time fishing, hiking, picking berries in the woods, or playing in the creek. In my opinion, the nature of urban and rural life style and the effect it has on people is the most important difference between living in the city and living in the country. I feel fortunate to have grown up in the rural area. I would never trade my memories of playing in the creek, riding four wheelers, or climbing trees all within a short walk from my house. Health, education, and transportation are three major concerns that need to be considered. While city life can bring more opportunities in these cases, country life can provide the best of both worlds.…

Who wants to walk out of their front door and see nothing but a concrete jungle filled with too many cars? certainly not me! In the country, there is space between you and your annoying neighbors. Having privacy in the city is like trying to grow an oak tree in a thimble. In the country, you can walk out of your front door and see a blue, pollution free sky, the birds are chirping, and maybe upon a distance you see a couple horses or cows. There is no curfew at night time, no annoying patrolling police officers, and you can have a bonfire at your own leisure. Cities are overloaded with people and it proves nearly impossible to step outside without being seen or heard by other people.…

Now let's look at the other side of the coin. What are the disadvantages? Living in the city, I think, the biggest problem is pollution. The air is so polluted that it has become a dream for me to have a breath of purely fresh air. I don't know when this dream can come true. When I was living in the countryside, my favorite hobby was to observe the sky at night and count the stars. Now the sky above the city is so polluted that hardly any star can by seen at night.
