Compare And Contrast Book And Movie
I like the movie a christmas carol more than the book. The story a christmas carol has been a very famous story for a long time. The move was better because you could see the actions the charters was taking. Every time the charters mood would change in the movie the lighting or the music would change.

Some of the differences of a christmas carol book and a christmas carol movie is in the movie the mood changes a lot more and in the movie there's a lot more detail .The book has detail but it does not show you what happens it tell you. The movie shows you and tell you what is happening. The book is a good story it tell you about scrooge's and how he is mean and never get into the christmas spirit. When the 3 different christmas spirits come and show scrooge's what is going to happen if he does not strahan up. In the 3 spirit they show how the way switch acts is going to affect a lot of people not just himself. So he see how he caused people's deaths and that made him think and now he is a very joyful person and he has changed his whole life and the people around him.

When the spirits come scrooge's was frighted by their appearances. It shows how the boy gets sick and how they have no money to take him anywhere cause switch won't pay them hardly and money. In the movie when it shows scrooge's face you can tell when he is angry and sad or when he is scared. It makes it easier to understand what is happening and how the people fell

In the play, Scrooge is a greedy, self centered man who cares for nothing but money and himself. His old, dead friend and partner, Marley, visits Scrooge in the night to tell him to change. Marley sends three spirits to haunt Scrooge to enforce that change. Scrooge is shown his past by the Spirit of Christmas Past. Past shows Scrooge a Christmas long ago where he is alone in the school house. “The schoolroom is not quite deserted. A solitary child, neglected by his friends, is left there still.” (Charles Dickens #) Scrooge is then shown an older boy of himself, but still alone and Fan, Scrooge’s sister, comes to bring Scrooge home. Past shows Scrooge where he was apprenticed. Scrooge is then shown his old loved one and it is shown that they separate forever. Scrooge is taken back home, but he does not believe what happened and at one o'clock, the Spirit of Christmas Present comes and shows Scrooge the present Christmas. Present and Scrooge go to Mr. Cratchit’s home and family who are getting ready for a Christmas dinner. Then…

The movie and the book of the Devil’s Arithmetic there are many differences in characters, plot and even the main idea. The book was much better than the movie, which was poorly done. I like the book better because it has a lot more detail where the movie lacked characters and detail. I would recommend this book to people like my mom who find the Holocaust fascinating but terrifying. The movie was so horrible that I could have done a better job producing it than they…

There isn't really many comparing factors between the book and the movie but some are that Hannah opens the door to let in the prophet Elijah in both the book and the movie. Hannah tells stories to the women and children in her barrack in both the book and the movie and I think that those stories is probably what kept most of them alive throughout the movie. Rivka survives in both the book and the movie because Hannah wanted her to get out so she took her place to go into the gas chambers. Rivka later gets out of the amps and changes her name to Eva like she said she would in the movie to Hannah. Rivka later becomes Hannah's aunt Eva in both the book and the movie. Hannah goes to die for rivka in both the book and the movie. The contrast…

In the birds the book and movie are really different. To me i really preferred the movie over the book but the both seemed pretty pointless and pretty stupid because like in the movie the characters have different names. In the movie there was also a lot of really bad actors. Whereas in the book you didn't have to worry about bad actors you just would read.…

There are many differences between the movie and the book. First the positive points: This film attaches faces to Scout, Jem, Miss Maudie, and Dill, since no description of their faces is given in the book. Also, the film has some genuinely hilarious moments, particularly the scene where Scout is dressed as a ham and walking through the forest. Another good point is that the acting was superb and a treat to watch. Gregory Peck, who played Atticus, was captivating. The film is cast very well. The novel does not give physical descriptions of Scout, Jem, Miss Maudie, and Dill, but the film characters were believable. The actors look like what we would expect them to look like.…

The Westing Game book and movie, “Get a Clue” are quite similar and different from each other. In my opinion, the book was more appealing to read than to watch the movie. It was long, suspenseful and frequently changed point of view between characters. Instead, the movie was short, straight-forward, and focused mainly on Turtle Wexler. Although the plot, characters that remained, and storyline were similar.…

Scrooge was a person with much to be desired after meeting him,but then one night he gets visited by three ghosts and is changed. Before going with the ghost of Christmas present Scrooge was greedy among other things but we well start with greedy. But then after seeing the way his employe Bob Cratchit lived with his wife and all his children he turned charitable well at least I think so because at the end he gives Cratchit a better pay and sends them the prize turkey so if that isn’t charitable I don't know what is.…

As you watch a movie, you can see a big difference between the movie and book. In the book and movie, “To kill a Mockingbird”, there is a difference between them. They are both different because the book has more details about situations that are happening. Also, because of the way you can picture what is going on. They are similar because in some parts in the movie, the characters say the same things as to when you read the book. In my opinion, the book gives you a better understanding of what the story is about because of the details it provides.…

In comparing characters in To Kill A Mockingbird and Christmas Memory, both are opened by young children. In TKMB a young girl named Scout is brought into the story and tells the book through her eyes, in ACM a young boy referred to as buddy is able to hook the reader into the story and read about his memory. In both stories the children have adult friends, TKMB Scout has Boo Radley, her neighbor and in ACM buddy has his older relative that he has qbonded with. In many ways these stories are very much alike sharing characters with almost the same presents. With a lot of similarities there is still a lot of differences. The first contrast would have to be that buddy in ACM is a boy and in TKMB scout is a girl, even though scout is more of a tomboy. The second contrast is in TKMB there is a lot of discrimination towards black peoples and children, but in ACM it is more of a warm feeling in the story and is loving. Even though there are a lot of similarities and a lot of differences, both stories bring unique topics to the…

I have seen the movie a couple times, but going to see the play really made me see a lot of things I do not remember seeing in the movie. There was some symbolism used in this play when the ghost of Christmas future takes Scrooge to the gravestone. The gravestone is a symbol of death. That is when scrooge really realizes that he wants to change because he is not ready to die yet. There was also a sign of imagery when the three ghost were used. To me I seen this as an image of death; especially when he fell into that deep sleep. I just found it to be very ironic that they chose the ghost to come talk to him rather than having angels talk to him. The actor that played Scrooge did a very good impression of him. He was very old and grumpy, and he had no Christmas spirit. The difference in the actor before the three ghost came to take him to see his past, present, and future. To the difference after was a huge difference. He played the part of Scrooge very well. I would go see this play again if I could not only did it let me see the things I missed in the play, but it also allowed me to think that I need to be thankful for everything that I have. Also it allowed me to think about how grateful I should be to have such a wonderful Christmas…

The protagonist, Scrooge is a cold, miserly creditor whose redemption to kindness and selflessness forms. Scrooge represents the Victorian rich who neglect the poor and think only of their own well-being. When Scrooge was a young boy he was sent to a boarding school was shown to be neglected by his peers and by his father, the young Scrooge seemed determined to live only for himself as he aged. “Home, for good and all. Home, forever and ever. Father is so much kinder than he used to be, that home’s like heaven!” This seemed that Scrooge was neglected when he was a young child and was sent away to a boarding school. Scrooge may also be part of the child labour, having to work so that he could just eat for the day. As Ghost of Christmas Past…

In 'A Christmas Carol', Charles Dickens represents Scrooge as an unsympathetic man who is offered the opportunity to redeem himself.
