Community Service: A Must

In many high schools, a number of hours of community service is required to graduate from high school. In Philadelphia the school district, requires the student to complete 100 hours of community service. In order to receive a high school diploma. When having to talk about the subject of community, some have a positive view, and others have a negative view on the matter. However, I'm one of the people who point out some of the important pros on why community service is a must. The school district of Philadelphia should definitely require high school students 100 hours of community service, because it develops the student skills, looks impressive on resumes, and it makes a teenager feel good about their self.

To begin with 100 hours of community service will build upon a high school student's job skills. A high school student's skills maybe little to nothing before you put yourself in a place where you can gain a whole lot of experience and job skills. Also, a high school student may have many career choices, community service can help the student narrow down their job interests by gaining community service experience. For instance, if a student had an interest in both a medical field and a law field, a student might want to try doing community service in a hospital and community service in a law related service. That way a student can see what really interests them before they end up doing something they wouldn't enjoy later.

Additionally, on a resume a list on the community service a student performed will have a good impression on the student. When entering hood a resume will be an essential part to start your future. Because, these days everyone will look at your resume, and everyone can judge a person by what their resumes are filled with.
