Communication:
At the basis of teamwork;
Bad communication can lead to a bad output in terms of business:
Convey the right information;
Listening;
Reciprocal learning;
One-to-one communication with customers or future stakeholders (investors, other companies, government, employees, cutomers, etc..)
Understand body communication

Communication is a “make or break” career competency! It is not only what you say but how you say it!

Human Needs: MASLOW PYRAMID
When we deal with people we deal with this pyramid

Each one of us strive for achiving a goal/dream/to be sucessful -> be at the top of the pyramid
Aesthetic needs: needs about beauty, fashion

Relationships are basic needs!
Ongoing connections we make with people through interpersonal communication
Relationships of circunstance
Relationships of choice

e.i.: The monkey’s experimente proves that relationships are basic needs.

We are designed to interact and have relationships with each other.

Acquaintances: people that you have a comum interest but that you don’t share all the things. Communication is very superficial (people talk about weather, time,etc..). This type of communication do not require a loto f investment.

Friends: people that you have something in common. Communication is very strong (people share their secrets, etc..). This type of relationship requires investment.

Family: relationships are strong because there is a family bound. There are rules and roles in this type of relationships.

Romantic Partners: much more emotional and intimate relationship

Business: Respect is very importante. More formal, bigger physical distance. A lot less personal. People try to hide their feelings in the workplaces.

SELF-CONCEPT: Who are you?

Self-concept: refers to your subjective description of who do you think you are.

Self-image: is your view of yourself in particupar situatuions.

Attitude: a learned predisposition to respond to a person, objecto
