1 PROJECT DEFINITION
The purpose of the Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) Project for Riordan Manufacturing is to migrate all of Riordan Manufacturing’s internal and external communications to the Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) system. This will enhance productivity and customer communication by merging documentation control and communication so all computers in all facilities will have access to pertinent documentation. Further, all employees will be able to generate, transmit, and receive information freely without obstacles. This will provide Riordan with optimal performance and customer management. The new server will encompass a security system, and data recovery and backup system. A training manual will also be provided all employees to ensure proper system usage and maintenance.
