My Beliefs, Values and Clinical Gestalt with Individual's and Systems' Paper
Human services management field requires education, Dignity, respect, Empowerment, and personal growth. Human service workers are here to help people in the community with various problems. Behavior, plays a major role in the human service professional. The most important requirement of being a human service worker is awareness of one's own. Being able to process skills that are required by planning, implementing and evaluating interventions. value orientation, and understanding of organizational values as expressed in the goal statement of the organization, human service ethics and appreciation of the client's values, life style and goals.
Preparation
I have always had a desire to help who every I can. I have been in the human services field for 4 years now. While doing exercise 1*4 I pondered some values and beliefs that I have. A belief is the psychological state in which an individual holds a proposition or premise to be true without necessarily being able to frequently prove its main contention to other people who ma or may not agree. Exercise 4.3 required a chronicled list of situations considered easiest to most difficult. Personal experience and deep thought, a person who is a bully I found to be the the easiest to resolve; the bully can easily be ignored. I always believed in the saying "Sticks and stone may break my bone but words will never hurt me. Being raised in Chicago, often times many ran away from bullies, while others were taught to fight. The most difficult situation listed was about the woman getting and abortion. I was raised as a Baptist and from a biblical prospective I found that would be hard for me to accept because I do not believe in taking someones life.
