The nuisances of having someone throwing a cigarette butt out the window of a car. Does it really create that much trouble? Some people might agree and some might. Others probably don't even think about it. The causes of someone throwing a butt out the window are easily recognizable. One cause comes from the ignorance showed by the person not to realize the consequences. Another cause for this lack of common decency, is the fact that the other person doesn't care or apathy. A final and important cause is the clear laziness shown by the person. But this paper is not about the causes I described but the effects of throwing a cigarette butt out an open window. The significance of the effects are much more important then the causes. The effects that I state in this paper are not the only effects, but ones that I have thought of so don't think that they are the only ones. Some of the effects are the littering aspects, the possibility of an accident and the enjoyment of pegging pedestrians.
One effect of throwing out a cigarette butt out a window of an automobile is the amount of litter that comes from this. The amount of cigarette butts on the road today out number the amount of drivers. When driving down the road the scenery is taken up with nothing but butts it tends to put a person down. The roadsides of America's street ways are littered with cigarette butts. With as much litter that is already on the road butts are not needed. The sad part about the whole ordeal is that the solution to the problem is quite easy. The solution is just to put a cigarette out in the ashtray given to people in cars.
