Whether or not cell phones should be allowed on school campus
Many children today own a cell phone and usually bring it to school. However, a plethora of people who work at the school don’t like the idea of having cell phones on school campus for countless of reasons. So now there is this big controversy on whether or not cell phones should be allowed on campus. In spite of this I believe that children should be allowed to have cell phones on campus.
First of all, say a child was having a seizure, after school with no teachers around. The student wouldn’t leave the child there while they go get help. They would stay with the child and call the police with their cell phones since there was no teachers around and the phones right there for help. So now if there was a rule that there cannot
be cell phones on campus then they student wouldn’t of been able to get a hold of help and the child would have been seriously injured.
Next, lets just say after school you missed the activity buss and everyone else had left. Also you have no money and the person you need to call doesn’t receive collect calls. You always have your cell phone so you can call someone to come and pick you up. So without a cell phone on campus you would have been stranded and had to walk home.
Finally, what if the students need to call their parents because they are in a code red situation. I know that if we were in a code red situation I would want to call my parents to let them know what is going on And just to let them know that I am safe. And that they have nothing to worry about or if there is something then they can come pick me up or get help.
So as you can see a cell phone on campus has many advantages to it. You have it with you in case there is ever an emergency or if you need a ride because you are stranded and have no money or if you need to contact your parents about something that cannot
