BACKGROUND:
Read the Green Computing Research Project, Part 1 in Appendix C.
Assume the project budget is $500,000 and will take six months to complete and that you must select the project team as soon as possible.
Use project charter examples from Chapters 3 and 4 as support in your answer.
Prepare a project charter for the Green Computing Research Project.
Write a two to three (2-3) page paper in which you include the following:
Project title and date of authorization
Project manager name and contact information
A summary schedule
Project budget summary
Brief description of the project’s objectives
Project success criteria
Summary of planned approach for managing the project
Roles and responsibilities matrix
Use at least two (2) quality resources in this assignment.

Budget Information: The firm has allocated $0.5 million for this project.

Project Objectives: This is a high priority for our company. This is the initial project charter and the objective is to research possible applications of green computing, which include: Data center overall energy efficiency The disposal of electronic waste and recycling Telecommunicating Virtualization of server resources Thin client solutions Use of open source software Development of new software to address green computing for internal use and potential sale to other organizations
Main Project Success Criteria:
Provide a series of extensive research reports, one for each listed above as well as including detailed financial analysis and recommendations on which green computing technologies to implement.
Approach:
Maintain a group of five full time personnel dedicated to this 6-month project. Additional resources
