As a kid I wanted to be a lot of things, such as police officer and a doctor and so on and so forth. But as I grew older I tried to be more realistic with my career direction. I've realized that I want to do something with computers. I'm interested in design and graphics programs. At the moment I have a program I use to make banners, animated graphics and web layouts. It's something I've learned and am interested in. I wouldn't say i'm an expert at it but something I wouldn't mind pursuing as a career in my life and learning more about graphics and web designs in a more advanced level. I design website before with HTML codes. I used sites such as xanga and myspace to put up my designed banners that I used with Photoshop and flash. I design backgrounds also I make my own wallpaper for my computer desktop. I mean it's pretty simple.
Website designers construct how a webpage looks like. The layout of a site is very important. It makes the site more appealing with background colors, patterns and images. Web designers usually work at web design companies or advertising agencies and marketing consultants. Some are freelancers. Designers work about eight to ten hours a day, 40 to 50 hours a week. Earning about 35,000 to 70,000 a year. Depending on your level of experience in web design.. I hope to become one of the top web designers. To get there I would need to atleast have 4 years of web design experience.
In the near future I want to do animation graphics and maybe major in it. Whenever I decide to go to college which should be fall of 2007, I will major in graphics and design. Not sure what colleges to go to at this point but i'm going to apply for Polytech, F.I.T, School of Visual Art and Stony Brook. After graduating from here i'm going to do City Year Corp. if I get accepted. If not I don't know what i'm going to do with my life. City Year Corp. is a yearly volunteer program that is associated with Americorp.
