Any one intrested in mechanics would appreciate the power and variation of the machines you work on when you are a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. I will be going more in depth with my analyze and descrioption of this job further along in this essay. Heavy Equipment Mechanic is my chosen
career when selecting from a list of jobs specifically specified to my interest on career visions. Other jobs recommended by this website included automobile Mechanic, Fischer, and Roofer.

This job\'s duties and responsibilities vary from level of mechanic but overall a mechanic works on some of the worlds biggest machines including bulldozers, backhoes, cranes, bobcats, ect. A mechanic’s daily responsibilities involves checking machinery for faults, repairing or replacing parts within electrical or hydraulic systems and diesel engines, and performing routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating. Emergency field repairs are also occasionally required. The starting salary for heavy equipment mechanics who are not yet fully qualified is around $15,000 to $20,000 a year. After a few years experience, the average mechanic usually earns about $25,000 to $35,000 a year. Mechanics with many years of experience can earn $50,000 or more a year. Income is also affected by the number of hours a mechanic chooses to work. The amount of education needed to be a heavy machine mechanic varies from the level of mechanic a Tranie or Apprentice, the lowest level of heavy machinary mechanic, requires a high school diploma, Heavy equipment or diesel mechanics program at a technical college (usually 2 years), and mechanical aptitude. A Journey level mechanic, a mid level mechanic, requires Completion of apprenticeship (or internship), usually around 150 hours, and all of the requirements that go along with a trainee.
