Michael's company has recruited him about two years ago. He has been trained in the company culture and the company expects that he will contribute to the company. In this manner the company is dependent on Michael. In a similar way, Michael is dependent on the company and its top management for his career advancement. He expects to be promoted to the post of President US Operations. Michael is also dependent on his colleagues and other employees of the company Legrand SA Without their support he cannot get important information that is so vital for the survival and progress. Moving to China is going to be hard for his family to adjust, but it is going to take some time. Michael’s children have a great opportunity also. They get the chance to learn a new language, a new culture, and meet a lot of new people. The China position is a great way for Michael to move up in the company. If Michael can talk to the right people, he may even be able to get his wife Karen a job. Taking the position in China will give Michael great experience, which may lead to better jobs in the future. Michael is going to A, get the job or B, and not get the job. I think that just applying for it would still be beneficial to him. I think that Michael does have power in this situation. So if you look at the bigger picture to just analyze how much trainging and knowledge that he has and learned then I think that’s the power that we are looking for and the gift that he has that is rare to find.
Submit a 700- to 1050 word expert opinion, detailing what you think Michael's next steps should be. Your...
