There is a local thrift store that I Frequent and their business system consisted of three main components. Every business such as the Thrift store has a business model that includes its business commerce, occupation, and organization. Business commerce is the process where goods and services are produced. Since Used clothing and furniture are the goods and the store is the provider of said goods which takes money from the customer for said items. Business occupation is the acquired skill set to provide value to others. Customer service is the acquired skill, so people will pay to have an exceptional experience. The last component of the business system is the business organization. This Thrift store is quite small and not many other in the area. It advertises in the local area and has probably only five or six employees. The business organization is the relationship that coordinates the interaction between consumers so they have a common goal. The Thrift store also has a relationship with the people that offer there old clothing as a donation. With each business the model is going to be different because they each offer a different set of goods and have a different set of skills to meet the need of the consumer. With each company that starts out they have to look at how they can offer the best service or product to bring in consumers and keep them coming back. Allowing the relationships that each business has with the consumer makes it easier for other business to see how to better themselves based on the reaction of the consumer after each visit. Recently I have noticed that the thrift store has began to raise its prices above what many people can afford so now you can see the difference in business and…

About six months ago I started my college career. The reason that made me decide to attend college is my dream to become a doctor. This dream is what drives me to achieve excellence in everything I do inside and outside of the classroom. Being from Brazil I didn’t know what it meant to attend a university in the United States of America. But now after being in college for a semester I have realized that only few universities will provide me the quality education, the experience, and the tools necessary for me to achieve my dream.…

Chemistry is the science on which the future relies; research is continually opening up new opportunities for the chemical industry. My passion to make a difference can be achieved through the paths of catalyst design, pharmaceuticals, Medicines, bio-fuels and polymer chemistry. Any one of these routes will provide me with new challenges; in Chemistry there is always something new for me to discover. My infatuation for science began when my high school teacher introduced me to Chemistry by demonstrating a simple reaction of vinegar and bicarbonate of soda, causing me to question the reasons for the effervesce and the acid-base reaction. It was this demonstration of a simple decomposition that sparked my interest in Chemistry. It was not just the demonstration that interested me; it was the desire to understand how and why.I am currently studying A-Levels at The Manchester College, in Maths, Chemistry, Physics and AS-Level in Further Maths and my ability to cope with this busy schedule shows I am able to cope well under pressure. In my January exam modules last year, I achieved three A grades in Maths, Chemistry and Physics. I am enjoying the breadth and depth of my A-Level studies and relish the freedom to work more independently. I have found that sixth-form study offers great scope for reading around my subjects and free periods give me the opportunity to work on solutions to problems before asking for any support or advice from my tutors. My love of science and aspiration for a Chemistry career is reflected in my A-Level choices where good time management, self motivated study skills and ability to cope with stress and pressure are essential. Chemistry and Physics have helped me further my interest and develop my analytical skills, Maths helps my problem solving skills and helps me to work logically. I believe all the qualities I have developed through my courses are essential for any good chemists. I enjoy reading, mainly factual books to…

Even though I did not expect my college course to drastically transform me, I have notice huge changes in myself in this one year course that I take the first step toward my dreams career life. Naturally, I always expected college to be a challenge; however, this has been the most challenging but also rewarding course I have ever seen before. My college history began when I came London in April 2015 to register YMCA hostel to find accommodation, I saw this college and then I registered as soon as I arrived my friend home. Two weeks later I did the college entrance assessment exams and then the college invited me for interview. I had no idea how to prepare for interview and exam as I was brand new to western society and educational curriculum. Luckily, I passed both the exam and interview and they sent me an invitation letter and gave appointment day to enrol in July 2015. I felt very happy and I promised for myself to succeed in higher mark. For me, this course is a significant to shape my life as a profession as…

The first time I added doctor into my list of 'careers to choose' was when I overheard my mother's monologue "I really want my son to become a doctor". Born as the second child but the first son, held a big responsibility to put up a good example to my siblings, that is why I set a goal to be the best anywhere I go. As what it takes, is to think steps forward, I challenge myself but never lost faith in me since I know determination and confidence are my two precious gifts. My active participation in co-curriculum activities, boost my self esteem tremendously. I managed to hold some important leadership role in school which is the vice head prefect, vice president for the peer support group(PRS) and the president of the English Club which somehow really build my personality and character. However I still score splendidly in my exams. Eventually I was choosen as the best overall students in my former school. Initially with my soft skills and confidence level, I thought of involving myself into business arena, but then sparks of realisation hit me. I want to return the favour that those tax payers have given me. That is when I decided to become a doctor without a single doubt. I planned to start with doing international baccalaureate first as I wanted to prepare myself for the worst and Kolej Mara Banting should be a the best choice to do it, far from the hustle bustle life of a city. I really want to do my degree in Royal College of Surgeon, Ireland. I've heard so much about RCSI and was really hoping to do my medical degree in one of the best medical college in the…

I have known in my heart since I was a little girl what I wanted to be when I grew up. Whenever an individual asked me that infamous question, “what do you want to be when you grow up?” without hesitation I would quickly reply: “A doctor”. Ever since then, from the discovery of DNA to the development in cancer research, science has never ceased to fascinate me. I later realized that pharmacology is more appealing because it involves the way drugs work on the human body. So, my passion towards medical science has led me to pursue a degree in biochemistry at Centenary College of Louisiana. So far, I have maintained a 3.85 GPA and I believe my hard work is evident from my good grades. I am working diligently to follow my dream of obtaining a degree in Pharmacology and helping people.…
