Specific Purpose: To teach the audience the history of English Bulldogs and also how to

care for and properly train English Bulldogs.

Thesis Statement: The audience will learn how to care for and train English Bulldogs.






Introduction

Attention Getter: Can you stand a lifetime of cuteness? Most dog breeds lose their puppy
charms as they mature. Not a bulldog... Their puppy charm and
characteristics stay even when they are fully matured.

Transition: I know mine has.

Credibility: I have an English bulldog myself and he is the cutest, most loveable thing
ever. I can’t imagine him being a part of the nasty sport they called bull
baiting.

Thesis Statement: I am going to tell you some of the history of Bulldogs and then show you
how to properly care for and also train them.

Preview: Tonight I will discuss the background of where these loveable animals
come from. What you need to know about caring for them and some
training tips.




Transition: The Bulldog is one of the world’s most universally recognized and
beloved breeds. The first description of the bulldog appeared in th 13th century However, it wasn’t till the 1630’s that the breed started to look
like the present day bulldog.
