The Aztecs have influenced and changed Mexico in different ways to make it the country it is today. They were one of the main influences that changed Mexico for good. We need to know what the Aztecs have done that has impacted Mexico. One of the good things that the Aztecs have done was their native language was used to create part of the Mexican language. One of the bad things the Aztec have done was human sacrifices. They killed many people by performing these sacrifices. In this essay, it explains how the Aztecs language, education, culture, and warfare has helped build Mexico.

To see how the Aztecs really affected Mexico, we have to look at what they did that impacted Mexico and made it what it is today. " The Spanish spoken in Mexico today actually uses many Nahuatl words" (Smith). Nahuatl is the Aztecs native language. An example of some words in Nahuatl is tecuh-tli, which means gentlemen, and cihua-tecuh-tli, which means the lady. The Aztecs language was not forgotten and even helped form the Spanish language. Even though they had been conquered by Spain, they still spread the language around to people unknown to it. " Nahuatl, continued to be spoken after the Spanish conquest" (Smith). The Aztecs continued to speak and spread their language throughout Mexico. Even after being captured and being forced to learn Spanish they still stuck with their native language and now " Today more then one million people in Mexico still speak Nahuatl" (Smith). The Aztecs helped make Mexico into the country it is today by forming their language.
