Project #07-15.2
August 21, 2009 As part of the Fiscal Year 2007 Annual Audit Plan, the City Auditor’s Office conducted an audit of the CityNet procurement module. The audit was conducted in accordance with generally accepted government auditing standards. Those standards require that we plan and perform the audit to obtain sufficient, appropriate evidence to provide a reasonable basis for our findings and conclusions based on our audit objectives. We believe that the evidence obtained provides a reasonable basis for our findings and conclusions based on our audit objectives. The objectives of the audit were to determine whether: information contained within the system is accurate and properly safeguarded; systematic and manual controls are working properly to ensure compliance with applicable City policy as well as state and federal law; and, the implementation of Lawson has increased the efficiency of the procurement process and the system has the ability to effectively work with other information systems within the City.
