Assignment #1
The war in Iraq I think is the biggest political problem facing America right now. I say this because this is a very big issue that's been going on for quite some time now. Our troops are over and we still a countless number of soldiers dying everyday. At first our soldiers were out to fight to get rid of terrorist and because of what happened to us on September 11, but now I think we don't even really know what were fighting for but for pointless reasons/ Everyone wants to withdrawal all troops immediately and troop all troops home but I think were not ready for that cause were stuck too far in this now and that wouldn't be the best solution for us or for this war. I do think we need to slowly and carefully progress on bring the troops home, but also need to be smart about it. Another big issue with this war is the billions of dollars were spending to send our troops out there and to make sure there being taken care of while they are there. But we are also spending a big portion of that money on their country cleaning up the mess and rebuilding what we have destroyed. All the money we are spending on this war is one of the mean reasons we have so much national debt. We're in another country trying to help them set up a government and find leadership when I don't think our own leadership and government is on the right track. I think we should be focusing more on ways to greater our country before trying to help another one out.
I think the health care system in this country needs to be changed as well as many people would probably agree. Our current health care system is a more restricted market which means the insurance industries are a group of profit seeking firms. They are not really concerned with the needs of their clients. I think a free market system would be best for us. Our problems in the current system is the results of all the restrictions in the market.
