A robust relationship between asset management and housing management could contribute many benefits to the communities which are landlords, organizations, local authorities and tenants. It makes a clear frame work in housing asset management. Moreover, it can enhance the standard of housing stock in present and future. Furthermore, it can show which parts of housing stock should be improve, demolished or dispose.

In contrary, there are also weaknesses in current practice of asset management. First, some local authorities do not use assets in appropriate way.
