Argumentative Essay: Is Hunting Good Or Bad?
Is hunting good, or is hunting bad? There can be many sides to this question. For some, hunting is a lifestyle, and others don’t want to see a gun. The next question would be, is hunting big game animals okay? Many people hunt deer, but is hunting a lion, or an elephant sane? With deer, you can use them for food. The only thing you can do with a lion is hang its head on your wall. Hunting is good unless it is an endangered or protected species. Hunting specific animals can ruin our ecosystem.
Hunting protected and/or endangered animals is wrong because it hurts our ecosystem. Each animal in our ecosystem is there for a reason. If we continue to kill these animals, all of their prey would over populate. If they overpopulate, there won’t be enough food for all of them to eat and they will slowly die off. For example, if lions become extinct, their prey will increase because they are not getting eaten. The prey will then have to fight for food and not all will get food, the rest will start to starve. Hunting for deer is different than hunting endangered animals. When you hunt for deer, roosters, etc. you use them for food. When you hunt big game animals, you just “toss” them away. All in all, endangered/protected species should not be hunted.

They are very vicious animals, that will attack people. There was an incident with a man and a lion. The man was on his regular morning hike, and stopped to watch a mama bear and her cubs. As he was about to leave, a lion jumped onto his back and knocked him down. The lion could have done more damage if it weren’t for the mama bear. Although these mishaps do happen, I still don’t think we should hunt big game animals. It is bad when animals attacks happen, but we can prevent them. As long as you choose not to go near them, they won’t come near
