Anne Frank: The Diary Of Anne Frank
July 6, 1942 the Frank family were desperately trying to escape Nazi Germany that was under the control of Adolf Hitler. The Franks and the rest of the Jews in Germany had to flee Germany or go into hiding to avoid Nazi persecution. The Frank family decided to hide along with another Jewish family, the Van Pels and a man named Fritz Pfeffer in a secret annex of a building. The Frank family hid in the secret annex for more than 2 years. There was a special young member of the Frank family named Anne Frank. Anne Frank kept a diary of the family's experiences while living in the secret annex. Anne Frank used the diary help her get rid of all of her stress and anger. She would write about all the things she would want to do when they could come out of hiding. Anne wrote about playing outside and feeling the wind on her face. She wrote about all the bad and good things that happened in her life and what was going on in the annex. Her book has become one of the most read books in the world. The book, The Diary of a Young Girl "has since been translated into some 70 languages"(Lewis,P.10). The book was first published in 1947. Anne Frank and her diary has become one of the most published stories in the history of the world. Anne Frank is truly a historical figure. More than a million people visit the Frank house each year. Anne Frank's story about her life in the annex has been made into many films. Anne Frank has become a hero and an inspiration to people from all over the world. The holocaust was a horrible and a very bleak time during World War II, there was not much hope during that time. However, Anne Frank and the story her diary tells, is one of courage, hope and the will to survive. Anne Frank and her diary will never be forgotten.

In Conclusion, Anne Frank was a great contributor to the world writing about true horror of what the Jews had to face in Europe during the World War II.
