INTRODUCTION

American Gangster tells a story about how the emerge of drug traffic and trade was in the streets of Harlem, New York. Denzel Washington plays real life gangster- Frank Lucas back in the 70s that was originally from North Carolina.
Lucas moves to Harlem and is apprenticed under a notorious crime boss- Bumpy. Russell Crowe plays detective Richie Roberts – a New York detective that has a task to bring the drug trafficking and corruption between the police department to heel. In the movie also plays Josh Brolin the sleazy cop, along with a host of celebrity actors and actresses.

He preferred using relatives and men from his hometown in North Carolina because they were less likely to steal from him. Through ingenuity and a strict business ethic, he comes to rule the inner-city drug trade, flooding the streets with a purer product at a better price, much cheaper than others. Lucas outplays all of the leading crime syndicates and becomes not only one...
