Aerosmith

In the days when drugs and alcohol were required substances on the road to rock & roll nirvana, Aerosmith blazed the path of excess, American- style. Their affinity for the groove provided a logical bridge for the first rock- rap crossover, Run- D.M.C.'s inner- city reincarnation of Aerosmith's "Walk This Way."

Soon after, in March of 2001, the band released their much-anticipated 13th studio album Just Push Play. Just Push Play features the same pop production that Aerosmith had been using in recent albums, though this time there was more of a vintage-era edge to most of the tracks. The album's first single, "Jaded", became a major top-10 hit in the U.S. As a result, Just Push Play went platinum. They were inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame soon after their album was released, in late March of 2001. In 2003, Aerosmith co-headlined with KISS on the Rocksimus Maximus Tour preparing for their release of their first blues album. Honkin' on Bobo was released in 2004. The tour was put on in support of their live album titled Rockin' the Joint which was released in the fall of 2005. The shows on the first part of the tour were opened by Lenny Kravitz. On February 1, 2006 I was fortunate that I was able to attend their concert here in Arizona at Glendale Arena. I was actually really impressed with Lenny Kravitz. I wasn't too big of a fan of his music, but he put on a great show. Aerosmith's show was incredible, it was right before Steven Tyler took a break from the tour due to throat issues. My fiancé is a huge fan also, so I purchased the tickets right when they were on sale for one of her X-Mas presents since they were not cheap. We are actually planning on going to their next concert here at the Cricket Pavilion on November 13, 2006. This will be their Route of All Evil tour where Motley Crue will be opening up for them. It's going to
