Acupunture

Way back, in the Stone Age, China was a leader when it came to the practice of medicine. It has advanced and grown from the start. The traditional practice of Chinese medicine was based mostly on anatomy and physiology, along with the practice of herbal medicine. Acupuncture was one of the first treatments that was supported by evidence to have been practiced. It combines all of the basic principles of early medicine in China.
Acupuncture is when you use needles and acupuncture points to cure diseases and pains from the human body. This is the belief that there are 12 paired and two unpaired meridians in the body. Meridians go from your head to your toes and branch off to other parts of the body. They control the energy balance in the body. The chi and blood run through the meridian, and if the chi is block, then you will get sick, or be in pain in some part of your body. About 2,000 years ago, they would push the needles in to where they were hurt, or where the symptoms of disease revealed itself. No one knows for sure when acupuncture first got started, but evidence of a 5,000-year-old mummy was found in the Alps that had 50 tattoos on his body, some of which are located on acupuncture points that would today be used to treat Otzi, which is what the body had. China was said to have gotten started during battles and wars, using arrows and experimenting. During the 16th. Century, acupuncture is believed to have move towards the West.
There has been many studies done in the past twenty years, trying to figure out why acupuncture works, and no one can definitely support it, but satisfied people and the reason that it stimulates the opiod system. The opiod system is a system in your brain that releases natural pain relievers like endorphins. Others think that it simply blocks the message that something hurt from getting to the brain.
