Abortion

Abstract

The issue of abortion is very controversial in today’s society.   Although many people think that a woman should not abort a fetus, there are just as many who believe that a woman should be given a choice.   Your opinion rests with you and the values you were brought up with.
The strongest argument put forth by persons against abortion is that of medical and religion.   However, in rationalizing a number of apparent reasons were revealed as to why a woman should have the right to choose.   Subsequent to presenting the argument, and reflecting on the issue, a conclusion was established.   If a woman was furnished with a choice some unnecessary consequences could have been avoided.  

The subject of abortion has been and will continue to be a very controversial topic that is hard to take a stand on, regarding its morality and legality.   An individual’s position on this complex religious, ethical, moral, medical, legal and philosophical issue is strongly correlated with their value system.   Although many people believe that abortion - the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus - is immoral (views of pro-life activists), there are just as many who believe in freedom of choice and supports the right of the woman (pro-choice activists).   I am of the considered view that a woman should have the right to choose, base on her circumstances and beliefs.
We live in a world where technology is available for use in controlling our own reproduction.   This is an advancement distinguishing us (humans) from animals that have no choice.   Animals have to reproduce because of their sexual instincts.   Humans have the same instincts, but we now have different forms of birth control which allows us more control over when and how many babies we will have.   This allows for babies to be planned, increasing the chances of them becoming better citizens because they are wanted and a woman is not stuck raising more...
