Abortion: Is It Right Or Wrong?
Abortion is a very sensitive subject all around the world. People are constantly debating on whether it should be allowed or not. The people who are for abortion believe that it is the woman's choice and right to decide whether or not to terminate her pregnancy. They do not feel that it is murder or wrong because the child has not been born yet. This view is sometimes known as “pro-choice”. Opposing sides view abortion as killing an innocent human life. Also, abortion goes against many religious beliefs. People in this world need to build a social consensus that abortion is not right and they are ending a human life. First, the embryo inside of a woman is a living thing. The embryo has genetic make up from the time of creation, therefore it is a living thing. Brian Fisher states that,”A zygote is a unique being that is distinct from the mother. He or she has 46 unique chromosomes and is internally driven to grow into more mature stages. Therefore, a zygote is fully human — as is an embryo, a fetus, and a born baby.” A embryo will …show more content…
Abortion is a very sore subject and most women have a hard time dealing with it. Abortion can lead to complications, such as hemorrhage, infections, and possibly death. After abortion a woman is more like to have breast cancer. So many women who abort suffer from symptoms of post traumatic stress syndrome. Anne Akins, from The Daily Telegraph, stated ”...It is known that abortion can exacerbate depression…” (6) Many women who abort will soon later life carry out a baby when the time is right for themselves. Usually after they give birth to their newborn child, lots of guilt will arise because the women realizes what a blessing her current baby is. Most women do not understand the possible outcome that go along with abortion. An abortion before carrying a baby full term will increase the risk for negative outcomes of that pregnancy carried to full
