9/11-Conspiracy or Act of Terrorism

      On the morning of September 11, 2001, two airplanes were flown into the World Trade Center Towers, one into the Pentagon, and one crashed in Pennsylvania. Thousands died that day and many more were injured. The American citizens were told by the government and the media that we are being attacked by terrorists who hijacked the airplanes and flew them into the buildings. Though many believed and still believe what the government told them, many Americans could be getting lied to. The theory that the events of 9/11 is all a big conspiracy is based on the sloppy cover-up, the laws that were passed to limit our rights, and also the suspicious events that took place as the buildings collapsed. Taking a closer look at these facts just might change the minds of millions of Americans about some of the things that they were told.
      The Reichstag Fire, a historical event that was considered a big factor in Hitler’s rise to power. On the night of February 27, 1933, the Reichstag building burst into flames and killed many if not most of the people inside. After the fire, Hitler pressured President Hindenburg into giving him what were essentially dictatorial powers. That same night, Marinus van der Lubbe and four other communists who were protesting Hitler’s new government, were picked up and charged with setting the fire. No real evidence was there to connect them to the case but the five men were still sent to jail. About a year afterwards, Marinus van der Lubbe was executed while the other four stayed in jail. This
event was also shadowed by a huge conspiracy theory made by people that believed that Hitler set the fire himself and found others that were easy to blame, specifically, communists. Since Americans at that time were fully against communism, nobody really suspected anything to be wrong with the fire being the communist’s fault. Though in the case of 9/11...
