3d Printing Research Papers
I have always dreamed of traveling the world. When I travel, I want to see the impact my work has done to help people all around the world. I plan to use my college education to make these dream a reality.
My education at Harvard will focus on completing the classes and learning the information necessary to achieve this goal. To do this, I plan to start a technology business that benefits the lives of people everywhere. I began the steps to achieve this plan by pursuing my interests and ideas this previous summer. After finishing CIS Computer Science, I was hooked on programming and technology. I was thoroughly enjoying learning how to build phone apps when I discovered 3D printing. My mind and imagination erupted with awe, inspiration, and

Every metal 3D printer has an unreported cost or a reported cost of over $100,000 according to the Senvol database. Undoubtedly, this is too expensive for the majority of the world. Thus, I plan to use my college (hopefully Harvard) education to revolutionize 3D printing for efficient and affordable use in every household. My plan will allow people to create personalized homemade objects they need at prices they can afford. All individuals will then have the ability to make what they need, how they need it, when they need it.
To start with this plan, I completed a class at my local university called Financial Management for Small Businesses. In this class, I was able to build a six part business plan focused on a future 3D printing business while also learning about the finances of managing a business. However, my obsession with 3D printing is not just focused on research and school.
I am currently working on slader.com to raise money to buy a personal 3D printer to enhance my knowledge of the machine and its computer software features. I plan to use my 3D printer to not only learn and explore more about 3D printing but also to sell personalized products to people in my community.
Most importantly, I plan to use my college education to turn every house into a factory and fundamentally change how consumers receive products. I plan to study the classes and learn the information necessary at Harvard to achieve these dreams and

A 3D printer, “create(s) 3D items using specifications sent from modeling software…they can build an object a layer at a time from super-heated plastic or polycarbonate” . The first time I ever encountered 3D printing was this past summer, July 2013 to be specific. One of my colleagues had just finished his first year at York College and came home for the summer with new toys. Viktor was an engineering major who also had a fascination and obsessive hobby with cars and extreme sports. While at college, Viktor had taken a computing class in which he had to use a software that could translate 2D designs into 3D and then print them out.…

One of these industries is architecture, construction, and engineering. Architects are using 3D printing to save time when putting together their scale models. In the future there will be no limitations to their designs; the reason for this being that construction companies are now experimenting with 3D printing to build parts of buildings. They have started to print using concrete and have been able to print up some wild angles and designs. These were difficult to pull off before because it was hard to make the form to pour the concrete. In the future architects and project managers will be able to work together and print sections of a building in one location, then move and assemble on sight. Just like architects, engineers are using 3D printing to print up scale models of their designs. With the advances in this technology they are able to print these items with moving and working parts.…

Despite the obvious benefits of 3D printing in the medical field, many people are opposed to the use of 3D printing for manufacturing implants. Opposing arguments claim that 3D printing creates unhealthy air emissions and that 3D printing materials are not safe. The form additive manufacturing called fused filament fabrication heats plastic and layers it to create 3D objects. When the plastic is heated it can release chemicals into the air that have been known to cause cancer. Some people argue that releasing carcinogens in a hospital environment is extremely dangerous and that 3D printing should not be used in hospitals for this reason. Also, some worry that the materials used to create implants will have negative effects when implanted into…
