2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Gullwing
Mercedes-Benz is a well-known German automobile manufacturer. Before being a division of its parent company, Daimler AG, Mercedes-Benz’s history dated back to two separate companies founded by German engineers Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler that were later merged to become Daimler-Benz in 1926. Its current product line extends to luxury automobiles, buses, coaches, and trucks.

At the September 2009 Frankfurt auto show, the automaker unveiled a new model of its luxury cars-the SLS SMG Gullwing which will be released to the market in 2011.

Some highlights about this new model:
—a revised version of AMG's 6.2-Liter V8
—output at 563 hp at 6800 rpm and 479 lb-ft of torque at 4750 rpm
—a new magnesium intake with eight separate velocity stacks
—a new dry-sump system to lubricate the engine
—48 percent/52 percent front/rear weight distribution.
—a dual-clutch automated manual transmission
—3,571 lbs, nearly 300 lbs lighter than the SLR McLaren
—0-62 mph time of 3.8 seconds
—top speed 196 mph.
—price around $250,000 range

This new model has a capability which exceeds all its previous models and an attractive price which gives it compatibility against Mercedes’ competitors. Even in a bad economy like the current one, such a luxury car will still catch many people’s eyes. We believe that with in-depth analysis of the market and appropriate marketing strategy, this model will become the dream car of many consumers before its launch date, and a reality which they can afford in a short period of time.
